State of Origin greats Johnathan Thurston [Sam Ayoub’s client] and Paul Gallen have backed Kevin Walters’ assessment of the Maroons performance in Game Two, lambasting their lack of effort and commitment in the 38-6 loss.
In the article on Sporting News written by Nathan Williamson, JT was quoted saying,
“Our play the ball speed was incredibly slow if you have a look at Benny Hunt standing there, waiting there to play the ball and the flipside, where Cook was just straight out of there,” Thurston said.
