Kyle established himself as a regular first grader in 2015, playing 21 games in his debut season. Stepping up to fill the vacancy in the back-row left by veteran Liam Fulton, Lovett didn’t disappoint in a breakthrough season that saw him win the Club’s Rookie of the Year Award. The hard running, industrious young backrower came through a Tiger’s junior representative system, that saw him named the team’s player of the year in 2012 and 2013, captaining the side to their 2012 Grand final victory. He graduated to the NSW Cup in 2014, and continued to impress, this time claiming the Tigers’ State Cup Player of the Year. Highlighting his versatility, he was named at centre in his Round 1 NRL Debut and at the conclusion of the season was awarded the club’s 2015 Rookie of the Year. He made 663 tackles in his maiden year, second only to Robbie Farah at the Club. Another strong showing in 2016 gave Kyle his representative debut with NSW City Origin.
