Sam Tagataese, or ‘Taga’ as he is affectionately known, has proven to be a powerhouse for the Cronulla Sharks in each of his 5 seasons at the Club. The New Zealand born, Samoan representative has become a regular in the Shark’s starting 17 with his size, strength and skill. Originally a Centre, Sam slowly moved into the back row as he begun to establish himself as an NRL player. Now being used predominantly as a Prop, Sam’s versatility was an asset for the Sharks in a season where they exceeded all expectation, to claim their inaugural Grand Final win.
