Standing 190cm and weighing in at 120kg, the imposing Leilani casts an intimidating figure out on the field. The wrecking ball of a front rower came through the Canterbury Bulldogs system playing 2 years of NYC before graduating to the NSW Cup. A move to the Penrith Panthers saw Leilani continue his development with selection in the 2015 NSW Residents team, before making his NRL debut in round 21 that same year. His form saw him rewarded with selection in the Tongan National team and named in the 2015 NSW Cup team of the year. The 2016 began with Leilani playing for the Indigenous All Stars and saw him solidify a regular spot in an impressive Panthers pack. Recently inking a new 3-year deal to keep him with the Club in to 2020, it’s evident the Panthers believe that they have a future NSW and Australian representative on their hands.
