Biography

After making his NYC debut back in 2008 with the Dragons, Cameron went on to achieve a host of accolades in his subsequent seasons. Playing for the NSW U18s and Captaining the Australian Schoolboys in 2009 Cam’s efforts resulted in him being awarded the ‘Val Lembit Memorial’ Trophy, an honour that is presented to the most outstanding sportsman in NSW. After making his NRL debut against the Rabbitohs in September 2010, Cameron was then selected to represent the Junior Kangaroos to play the Junior Kiwis in Rotorua, in October. In 2011 he played in the Charity Shield and World Club Challenge to start the year, before capping off another solid season where he was selected for the Junior Kangaroos for the second time. In 2012, he was mentioned as a “Rookie to watch” and a contender for the NRL Rookie of the Year award, before being selected for the NSW Cup Residents and signing on with the Dragons through 2013. Cameron’s time at the North Queensland Cowboys was interrupted by injury and after making 4 appearances for the Club before moving to the Eels in 2016.
